Plaster Repair
I run a plaster repair business in the Peoria, Illinois area. I work with contractors, insurance and real estate agents and adjusters and individual homeowners. I do NOT do whole houses. I specialize in doing repair work, to both plaster and drywall finished homes.
Many homeowners have been told to get three, four, or more estimates. I usually tell people right from the start that I am usually always the highest estimate. But as they say, you get what you pay for. I do the best repair work that is available. The reason is simple: That’s what I do each day. It’s a skill that is physically demanding, and requires a lot of artistic talent to make each repair blend in so that it’s not seen after it’s done. I use genuine plaster to do repairs on plastered AND drywall finished homes and buildings. That means there is NO SANDING done with the work I do. I guarantee all the work I do and I am fully insured.

Helping others learn how to do plaster repair work is something I really enjoy doing. Many homeowners want to know how to do plaster repairs and restoration work to their own homes. And then there are people who are looking for a very exciting and profitable business opportunity. This training is done in the Canton, Illinois area. I also offer training for entire crews. Right now I offer 2 and 3 day training courses. In the two day course I show the common problems that occur in both plaster and drywall finished homes. I then show what materials and mixes to use to do the repairs. Crack and hole repair are explained and demonstrated, as well as how to resurface old walls and ceilings.
In the 3 day course I add a day on that shows how to bid and estimate plaster repair work. This is a great way for someone to learn how to do this type of work as a business. It is possible to earn $500 – $1,000 PER DAY doing this type of work! If you’d like more information on this, simply email me and I’ll send you the details.
DVDs
There are 4 DVDs I have available:
VENEER COAT PLASTERING: The first DVD, Base Coat, demonstrates how to apply base coat plaster over plasterboard. The second DVD, Finishes, shows how to apply a variety of textured finishes, as well as smooth coat finish, over base coat.
PLASTER REPAIR: This DVD shows how to repair small and large cracks and holes. I share easy to follow tips and techniques that will help you make a success of your next plaster repair project. You just won’t find this kind of information anywhere else. I’m sure you’ll enjoy this one!
RESURFACING: Many older homes have loose and cracked plaster on the walls and ceilings. This DVD will show you ways to make a success of your restoration project, by securing and resurfacing these areas.
